Most KareTap visits are completed through secure Healthie messaging. Selecting phone means a text-based visit within the Healthie platform. Video visits may be used when clinically appropriate.
What is KareTap?
KareTap is a Florida-based virtual urgent care service offering secure, text-based visits for common, non-emergency medical concerns.
Who can use KareTap?
KareTap is available for patients ages 2 and up who are physically located in Florida at the time of their visit.
How do virtual visits work?
Most visits are completed through secure messaging and photos. Video visits may be used if needed. A licensed provider reviews your information and responds with a treatment plan.
Do I need insurance?
No. KareTap offers flat-rate pricing and does not bill insurance.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat common urgent-care concerns such as colds and flu, sinus infections, UTIs, pink eye, rashes, sore throat, ear infections, and similar issues that can be safely managed through telehealth.
Can you prescribe medications?
Yes, when medically appropriate. KareTap does not prescribe controlled substances, opioids, stimulants, or benzodiazepines.
Do you offer medication refills?
Yes. Medication refill visits are available for stable, non-controlled medications and are offered as a separate visit.
Can I get a work, school, or travel note?
Yes. Work, school, and travel notes are available as a $20 add-on after a medical visit, when medically appropriate.
How fast will I hear back?
Response times depend on the visit type you choose. Standard visits typically receive a response within 2–4 hours, while Priority and Premium visits receive faster responses.
Do you offer weekend or after-hours care?
Yes. KareTap offers limited after-hours weekday visits and weekend premium visits for urgent needs outside normal business hours.
What if my symptoms are serious?
KareTap is not for emergencies. For chest pain, trouble breathing, severe allergic reactions, or rapidly worsening symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
